Daniel Defense’s RIS II allows the operator to float the M203 grenade launcher freely without the need to use additional parts. The most important thing is that no special tools are needed to mount the M203 grenade launcher, since all the parts necessary for its free flotation are integrated into the rail. It is specified that the Daniel Defense RIS II must be used in conjunction with the low-profile MK12 gas block.

The Daniel Defense Rail Interface System (RIS II) was created at the request of the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD II program. SOCOM had the need for a specific solution for the M203 grenade launcher that would allow its free flotation, and Daniel Defence designed an innovative product to meet this need of the government.
