DETAILS <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 10.3-inch cold forged barrel is the same length as that of the MK18, which is most commonly used in close combat operations (CQB). The GRIP-N-RIP carrying handle features independent adjustment, allowing both right-handed and left-handed shooters to easily adapt. Finally, all Daniel Defense complete upper receiver groups come with an M16 profile bolt carrier group as standard.<\/p>\n

MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION <\/strong><\/h2>\n

  • UPPER RECEIVER<\/strong>: Daniel Defense’s standard Mil-Spec upper receiver features indexing marks and M4 feed ramps for enhanced performance. It is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and features a Type III hard coat anodized finish.<\/li>\n
  • BARREL<\/strong>: Chrome Molybdenum Vanadium steel, cold forged, 1:7 twist, 10 Government profile.3″ (26.16 cm), chrome lined, Mil-Spec heavy phosphated and HP\/MPI tested.<\/li>\n
  • GAS SYSTEM:<\/strong> Daniel Defense’s low-profile gas block is CNC machined from hardened 4140 steel with a heavy phosphate Mil-Spec coating. It has a carbine length and has a direct hit.<\/li>\n
  • MUZZLE DEVICE<\/strong>: Daniel Defense’s Flash Suppressor is made from 17-4 PH stainless steel and features a salt bath nitride finish.<\/li>\n
  • BOLT CARRIER GROUP:<\/strong> The bolt carrier group has an M16 profile, is of military specification (Mil-Spec), has been MP tested and is chrome plated. The gas tap is properly staked to ensure proper operation.<\/li>\n

  • HANDGUARD<\/strong>: Daniel Defense’s RIS II MK18 handguard is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and features a Type III hard anodized finish.<\/li>\n
  • LOADING HANDLE<\/strong>: The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle features a body CNC machined from 7076-T6 aluminum, while the handles and latch are crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum. The pins are made of stainless steel and the assembly is finished with a Type III hard coat anodizing.<\/li>\n
  • RAIL PANELS<\/strong>: Daniel Defense’s rail panels are made of Santoprene, a heat-resistant material that can withstand temperatures up to 300\u00b0F (148.88\u00b0C).<\/li>\n
