The latest version of the GunPOD FM-570 Gen 4 is now 25% lighter, has higher side walls and a more refined finish. Specially designed for tactical weapons, the new external Picatinny slots on the side walls allow the installation of optional accessories, such as lights and lasers. Weighing only 453g, the Gen 4 GunPOD’s lightweight design makes it the best gun tripod mount ever created. The double-movement side walls maintain the centre of gravity on the tripod, which is critical to balance weapons and maintain a perfect vertical orientation for long-distance shooting.

The side walls of the frame are reversible and can change between soft on one side or hard on the other to better adapt to the picatinny. Both the rubber pads and the aluminum side walls have vertical Picatinny interlocking slots, which allows the side rail of your weapon to be hooked with a single Picatinny strip or quadruple track.

In addition, a Picatinny lower centre slot of 10.16 cm allows a rifle or pistol to lock in place using the double-tooth bottom closure, eliminating the need to use the side clamps. The mount also has an Arca rail integrated directly into the centre frame, which eliminates the need for a separate QR plate when connected to the tripod. This results in greater reliability, lower cost and less weight.
