Daniel Defense has taken the modularity of his ARs and I have adopted it for the bolt-action rifle by coupling the barrel through a barrel extension. Since the extensions are installed by us in our factory, the head space will always be the correct one, since it is established at the time of manufacture.

To change the barrel, all you have to do is disassemble the barrel, remove the barrel nut, install the new barrel, tighten the barrel nut with the appropriate tightening torque and then reinstall the entire barrel/action assembly in the cylinder head.

With the ½” barrel nut bolt included, you can change the barrels in minutes. It is not necessary to be a gunsmith.
